Santa and his reindeers certainly have their work cut out over the festive season.
But this year Heathrow Airport will be offering a huge amount of help, because according to its number-crunchers, it’ll be processing a record-breaking volume of Christmas goods, from salmon to calendars.
Its cargo officials predict it'll process 143million kilograms of seasonal exports to non-EU destinations between November 24 and December 25, a record to date.

The airport’s data from 2016 shows that it’s salmon, Christmas lights, lobsters, calendars and dried flowers that are the most popular festive goods to send.
Between November and December 2016, 27,467kg of Christmas lighting sets were loaded into the bellies of planes at Heathrow - up from an average of 7,203kg/month from January to October.
The amount of frozen lobster the airport handled was 443,146kg - up from an average of 163,312kg/month from January to October.
Calendars were popular items to post, too. In total 31,316kg-worth of these passed through the hub, up from an average of 3,382kg/month from January to October.

There was a blossoming of dried flower packages, too, with many sent to help friends and relatives decorate. In total 310,677kg-worth passed through, up from an average of 109,796kg/month from January to October.
Salmon was the most popular export to non-EU destinations overall by weight in November and December 2016, though, with 6,070,000kg of this type of fish (equivalent to approximately 480 new London Routemaster buses) recorded as flying through.
Exports of books were the second most popular commodity – with a recorded 4,834,000kg going through last year (or approximately 382 new London Routemaster buses).
Heathrow’s 2016 data also reveals the top five destinations exports reached.
The most popular was the United States (15.31million kg), followed by China (6.20million kg), the UAE (3.77million kg), Australia (3.36million kg) and Hong Kong (2.77million kg).

This year's epic forecast comes after Heathrow saw a record 290,340,803 kilograms of exports from January to October – an 8.5 per cent increase from the same period in 2016.
These exports are worth an astounding £39.62billion.
Nick Platts, Head of Cargo at Heathrow Airport, said: 'Heathrow is at its busiest at Christmas – and this year, we not only expect record numbers of passengers to fly through, but also a record amount of cargo to be flown in the holds under their feet.
'Santa may still have the claim on the most deliveries on Christmas Eve, but for the months before it, Heathrow is doing its bit to export our British Christmas across the world.'
