Public sector unions met with Premier Will Hodgman this morning and were presented with the 12-month offer, which includes a 2.1-per-cent pay increase and a .25-per-cent sign-on bonus.

Employees will also receive a cash bonus of up to $120.

The 2.1-per-cent increase will be backdated to different dates for various unions.

Mr Hodgman said the Government would continue negotiating the final two years of the deal and hoped to have it finalised by November.

"For some, that will mean they will take it immediately to their members, for others it will mean they will have to discuss," he said.

"We have provided them with a two-week period to respond once they have received feedback through their various processes."

Mr Gutwein said the date workers would be back-paid to depended on when their agreements were due.

"We will provide a 2.1-per-cent increase from the first pay period effective when they were due," he said.

"So, for example, the CSPU that will from [December 1] last year and then there will be other unions that have different time frames."
