Jessa Duggar, 26, and her husband Ben Seewald have revealed the story behind their new daughter's name.
The couple announced last week that they welcomed a little girl — their first, after two boys — on Sunday, May 26 and named her Ivy Jane Seewald.
Though Ivy Jane's name is certainly more traditional-sounding than her older brothers Spurgeon Elliot and Henry Wilberforce, however, they did reveal that there's an interesting story behind what they called her.

Revealed: Jessa Duggar and her husband Ben Seewald have shared why they named their newborn baby girl Ivy Jane
History: They said they just liked the two names together, but 'Jane' is for Lady Jane Grey, a Protestant martyr who served as Queen of England for nine days
Jane was named Queen in her cousin's will, but the Privy Council of England proclaimed Mary to be Queen and charged Jane with treason
'Ivy Jane, we just liked those two names,' Ben, 24, said in a TLC video. 'And with her middle name, Jane, she’s actually named after Lady Jane Grey, who was a young lady who was Queen of England for a short time during the 1500s.
'She was a very inspirational character to us,' he added.
Lady Jane Grey, who is also known as the Nine Days' Queen, only served as monarch for nine days.
Her predecessor, Edward VI, wrote in his will that Lady Jane Grey was to succeed him, skipping over Queen Elizabeth and Edward VI's half-sister Mary, who was Roman Catholic. Lady Jane Grey was a Protestant.
While Jane awaited coronation, the Privy Council of England responded to public opinion and proclaimed Mary to be Queen, and convicted Jane of treason.
Though she was spared at first, she and her husband were later executed — with many consider her a Protestant martyr.

Little: Weighing 7 pounds, 14 ounces, little Ivy Jane measured 20.6 inches when she came into the world
'Jessa and I talked about it beforehand this time around and we actually had a name picked out before she was born,' Ben said. 'We liked the way those names flowed together'
So, as it turns out, Ivy Jane's name does have religious significance, just like those of her older brothers.
Spurgeon was named in honor of nineteenth century British preacher Charles Spurgeon, and got his middle name from missionaries Jim and Elisabeth Elliot.
Henry, meanwhile, was named after seventeenth century preacher Matthew Henry and eighteenth century politician William Wilberforce.
Jenna and Ben had chosen the names for their other children last minute, but they said in the new TLC video that they managed to settle on Ivy Jane before the little grl was born.
'Jessa and I talked about it beforehand this time around and we actually had a name picked out before she was born,' Ben said. 'We liked the way those names flowed together.'
The couple also discussed their happiness over becoming parents three times over.
Growing brood: Jessa and Ben already have two children, sons Spurgeon, three, and Henry, two
'Seeing her for the first time, I definitely shed some tears,' Jessa said. 'Very emotional moment. I always cry when a baby’s born.

Jessa wrote about the newest addition to their family on their blog last week, two days after the birth.
'We were getting ready for church when my water broke, and we were thinking "Well, I guess we have a change of plans!" she said.'
After three and a half hours of labor, Ivy was born at 5:57pm. Her due date was June 5th, and since both of our boys went five days past their due date, we thought we would go late again.

'She feels so tiny compared to her siblings!' she went on. 'Spurgeon was born at nearly 10lbs, and Henry close to 9lbs. We’re so grateful to God for this precious gift. She is already so loved. Her big brothers adore her!'
Jessa and Ben married in November 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Bentonville, Arkansas.
They announced in January that they were expecting their third, and told Us that they knew there was a big transition coming.
'We realize that … we’re about to switch from man-to-man to zone coverage, so we've definitely been taking advice from friends who are already in this stage!' Ben said. 'We love being parents and are really looking forward to this new arrival!'
In the last few days before their family went from four to five, Jessa was still up and about and posting on Instagram.
