The inspector who visited Lindeth Fell was impressed with the 'warm, friendly welcome' and 'five-star service'

The bedrooms at Lindeth Fell Country House have 'crisp Egyptian cotton bed linen and deluxe fluffy towels'
This is the best B&B in England for 2019, according to the AA, which was impressed with the luxuriousness of the accommodation and its location - overlooking Lake Windermere.
The AA inspector who visited said: 'This elegant, stylishly restored Edwardian country house is owned and managed by the Kennedy family, who combine a warm, friendly welcome with five-star service. The 14 individually-designed bedrooms have crisp Egyptian cotton bed linen, deluxe fluffy towels, robes, slippers, complimentary sherry, DAB radios, WiFi, TVs, tea trays and Nespresso coffee machines.'
What's more, 'many rooms have superb lake views'.

Cyclists and walkers are welcome - the lodge provides secure storage and drying space.
AA GUEST ACCOMMODATION OF THE YEAR, SCOTLAND WINNER: Tigh Na Leigh Guest House, Alyth, Perthshire

Fifty-one members of the public have reviewed Tigh Na Leigh Guest House, pictured, on the AA website and its average score is 10 out of 10

Tigh Na Leigh Guest House features a blend of Victorian architecture with contemporary interior design

The AA inspector dispatched to inspect Tigh Na Leigh said the meals served are 'delicious'
Fifty-one members of the public have reviewed Tigh Na Leigh Guest House on the AA website and its average score is 10 out of 10.
The inspector the AA dispatched to review it wouldn't, apparently, disagree with the score and waxed lyrical about the property's blend of Victorian architecture with contemporary interior design and its 'spectacular landscaped garden'.
The meals served are, the inspector said, 'delicious'.
AA UNIQUE B&B OF THE YEAR: Brightham House, Salcombe, Devon

Brightham House has style and character in abundance, according to the AA

The bedrooms at Brightham House all have a unique personality, the AA's inspector said
'This gracious Victorian abode,' said the AA, 'has been totally refurbished and re-styled to provide impressive levels of comfort and quality.'
Brightham House also does a nice line in originality - hence the award.
The AA inspector continued: 'There is style and character in abundance here with bedrooms all having a unique personality and equipped with all the necessities for a relaxing stay. Public areas will put a smile on the face with fascinating vintage and retro pieces, all skilfully assembled to create a very inviting environment.'

To win this award a restaurant needs to excel with fodder and provide top-notch accommodation.

The AA said that it has 'imaginative, award-winning cuisine served at dinner plus superb breakfasts' and seven 'luxury' rooms.
