It’s the final night of the Cannes Film Festival and Elle Fanning pulled out all the stops, donning a stunning gown from Reem Acra’s bridal ‘Celebration Collection’.
Though named ‘Tying the Knot’, it was rather more a case of owning the red carpet for Elle. Featuring a fitted bodice, the gown flows into a full skirt made up of layers of delicate nude and ivory tulle. Delicate tonal embroidery covers the bodice and cascades down the skirt whilst embroidered bow details provide a focal point. Shunning the veil from the full collection look, Elle finishes the ensemble with the coordinating cape, also with embroidery and an embellished neckline.
Elle kept the rest of the look simple, wearing her hair up in a ballerina bun and adding small earrings, proving that a bridal look needn’t be reserved for the church.

French film The Specials tells the story of two men who are educators of children and adolescents with autism - with the film's premiere the closing ceremony of Cannes.

Mexican director Alejandro Gonzalez Iñárritu will preside over the panel that decides on prizes, including the top Palme D'Or award.
The jury for the festival's 72nd edition will also include Pawel Pawlikowski, the Polish filmmaker and screenwriter named best director at Cannes last year for the impossible love story Cold War.
