A Mexican couple ended up having an unusual gender-reveal party by organizing a cockfight to announce the birth of their forthcoming baby.
Although it is not clear where the video was shot, it starts with the couple holding the two cockerels in front of one another in order to rile them up.
The pair are then placed on the ground and within seconds blue powder and smoke is seen, revealing to all that a baby boy is on the way.

The couple set their cockerel on the patio as the fight begins in earnest
It appears as though the blue powder was contained in a black balloon attached to one of the cocks feet.
When it was attacked by the second bird, the balloon burst allowing the fine blue powder to escape, much to delight of the assembled gusts.
The video clip lasts for just 20 seconds and so it is unclear what became of the the birds after the fight. It has already been watched almost two million times since it was posted to Twitter on Friday.
Although seen as barbaric and illegal in much of the western world, cockfighting is still perfectly legal particularly popular in western Mexico, where every town in the states of Jalisco, Michoacan and Guerrero has a Palenque, or cockfighting ring.
