- **UPDATE** The rapper and producer denies reports he was arrested and claims he was actually detained while a search was carried before officers stood down
Rapper Mally Mall has denied reports he was arrested by FBI agents as part of a human and exotic animal trafficking investigation today, claiming instead he was detained at his home and released after no evidence was found.
Authorities surrounded Mall's San Fernando Valley home located in the 4400 block of Grimes Place around 8am Wednesday morning and served him a search warrant.
According to TMZ, there were allegations in Nevada that the Love & Hip Hop Hollywood star was involved in an escort service.
Mall, whose real name is Jamal Rashid, is no stranger to having exotic animals. He is a well-known collector of animals and his house is home to pit bulls, snakes, turtles and other wild cats.
Mall's attorney, Steve Sadow, has called the allegations bogus, telling TMZ: 'If they had real evidence they would have arrested him. They don't have evidence. It's bogus. Period.'

The producer, who is known for his work with Snoop Dogg and Chris Brown, also owned a caracal back in 2016.
At the time, his three-year-old caracal, Nyla, was killed during a house fire that ripped through his $1.5million home in Nevada, according to TMZ.
A caracal is a 40-pound cat native to Africa.
In 2014, the same house that caught on fire was raided by the FBI as part of an ongoing federal investigation into Mall and possible human trafficking allegations.
