Trump voiced this truly vile comment at a Wisconsin rally last Saturday. Our President has a raft of vile comments to his credit - murderers, rapists and drug lords are invading us, Islam is is a terrorist religion, Neo-Nazis and violent radical right wing ers are "very fine people" - so in one sense it is no surprise that Trump would basically characterize abortions as a collusion between doctors and mothers to murder the unborn.
But there is something so creepy about this comment, so utterly despicable, it stands alone as Trump's most revolting proclamation of his Presidency. Of course, this horrendous characterization will be dismissed as just another one of Trump's red meat offerings to his cult base and once again no one will take him to task for it.
Frankly, given the complex and emotional issues surrounding abortion, I'm hoping that even if the media doesn't "follow-up" on this one, I'm hoping that the women of America will. I'm hoping that the women of America will be so insulted that they will remember this until November 3, 2020 and vote accordingly.
The vile human being has no business being President of the United States of America.
