One particular town in the Seattle metro-area boasts is considered one of the best places in the U.S. for middle-income people to live, in part because what's considered middle-income is so high, according to a new study.
Researchers with GoBankingRates.com recently investigated the cost of living middle class across the U.S. to find where middle-income individuals are living their best lives.
They found the cost of living middle class in Bellevue, Washington ranges anywhere from $70,268 on the low end to a whopping $210,804 on the upper end.

The upper limit of the 'middle class' was calculated by multiplying the median income of people in the area by two. That's $210,804 for Bellevue, where the median income is a huge $105,402.
Bellevue is located just 5.6 miles from Microsoft's world headquarters in nearby Redmond, Washington and just 2.5 miles from billionaire Bill Gates' home in neighboring Medina, Washington, Komo News reported.
So it's likely that the presence of so many high-earning tech workers has pushed the middle-class earnings number up.
Median income in Seattle has grown by 25.4 percent over the last five years, according to the study authors, who estimate middle income in the whole city to be between $53,043 and $159,130.
Bellevue's median income grew by 19.7 percent over the same period.
Seattle and Bellevue ranked fourth and ninth respectively on the list of places where the middle-class are thriving.
