Marvel sorry (sort of) for leaving Avengers: Endgame star off top billing

Marvel Studio's released their highly anticipated official trailer for Avengers: Endgame today along with the movie's poster — but something, or rather someone, was missing.
Key points:
- Danai Gurira's name was left entirely out of the top billing on the original poster
- Fans on Twitter were outraged to see the only black woman on the poster relegated to small font
- The poster has since been updated with Ms Gurira's name at the top
All 13 actors of the main cast were displayed on the originally released poster, but only 12 names were credited.
Actress Danai Gurira's name was left entirely out of the top billing, and instead cited in small font at the bottom credits.
You might not see at first glance, but fans did not take long to notice her name was missing.
Here's the original poster.
The 41-year-old Zimbabwean-American actress has a vital role in the blockbuster Black Panther, playing the character Okoye, a General of the Dora Milaje in the Marvel cinematic universe.
Ms Gurira herself is Tony-nominated actress and playwright.
She has won a Screen Actors Guild Award and even took out the People's Choice Award for favourite action movie star, for her role in Black Panther.
'RESPECK (with the K!) on our girl Danai'
But Marvel didn't exactly apologise.
Instead, they gave a brief response on their Twitter account and did not answer any questions.
The post reads: "She should have been up there all this time. Check out the official Marvel Studios' #AvengersEndgame poster."
And that was it.
Ms Gurira was mentioned in the tweet, which was followed by the hashtag #WakandaForever.
But fans on Twitter were outraged to see the only black woman on the poster was the only one left out when it came to top-billed names.
They also pointed out that even voice actor Bradley Cooper was included on the poster, for his role as the animated space raccoon, Rocket.
African-American actress Yvette Nicole Brown tweeted: "That's what's up, Marvel Studios! Thanks for putting some RESPECK (with the K!) on our girl Danai Gurira's name!"
Ms Gurira has not yet commented on the incident.
Where to after Avengers: Infinity War?
Ms Gurira is seen briefly in the trailer, but only from a scene in the previous film, Avengers: Infinity War, like many others.
It teases the audience about how her character will fare after the main Black Panther character, T'Challa, was turned to ashes by Thanos.
The film will be released next month.
