Optus has announced all World Cup matches will be simulcast on SBS from tonight until the end of the group stage.

Optus Sport will also be made available for free to all Australians until August 31.

Customers who have already paid to access Optus Sport during the tournament will receive refunds.

Optus chief executive Allen Lew said the telco was confident it had fixed the problems which have plagued its streaming service so far, but it wanted to provide Australians with choice.
