TRUMP'S MENTAL HEALTH
MAYBE HE REALLY IS LOSING IT!
It seems that every time another shoe drops in the Mueller Investigation, Trump either tweets or says something outrageous. But lately, his "communications" have been edging toward the truly bizarre. The impromptu New York Times interview he did with Michael Schmidt just a few days ago down in Florida Well, if you read the actual, verbatim transcripts (not the pieces that appeared in the media) he sounded really confused. Or at least very confusing. The rambling, unconnected string of word salad phrases that came forth from Trump's mouth (and, therefore, brain) were choppy and all over the map.
Here's one part that sounds like a whole bunch of made up shit that makes no sense with a short analysis following:
Think about the phrase: "[T]he least competent people often believe they are the most competent because they lack the very expertise to recognize how badly they're doing." Doesn't this perfectly match what we've seen in Trump? We know just how uninformed Trump is, how little he knows about history and his infamous five second attention span. But even more so, this analysis also carries with it the frightening aspect that Trump is one of those people who simply do not know what they don't know. In a President, this is terrifying.
Now comes today's missive about the Steve Bannon book that calls Trump bumbling and the June 6th meeting "treasonous." Here's some of it:
Bannon, in the book, also anticipated that Robert Mueller's Russia probe will zero in on money laundering.
"You realize where this is going," Bannon says. "This is all about money laundering. Mueller chose Weissmann first and he is a money-laundering guy," referring to Andrew Weissmann, a senior prosecutor on Mueller's team. "Their path to f---ing Trump goes right through Paul Manafort, Don Jr. and Jared Kushner. It’s as plain as a hair on your face."
"They’re going to crack Don Junior like an egg on national TV," Bannon says in the book.
And here's Trump's (or The White House's) response:So once again Trump demonstrates his complete lack of loyalty to folks whom he used to be close to. There is no need for Trump to attack and demean his former staff members including Steve Bannon. He could simply remain silent and let the media swirl around in the resulting controversy. But not Trump. He has some sick compulsion to kick folks who are down, something many of his biographers and former associates have revealed.
As I noted in a prior post, I have resisted labelling Trump unhinged or insane. One reason is that labels such as these give an excuse for his atrocious behavior. The absolve him of conscious thought and reasoning. But no more. I'm coming around to the idea that there really is something mentally wrong with the man. And this is a very frightening prospect as his dick war with North Korea's Kim Jung Un heats up and he seems to want to wage warfare on any country that disagrees with him.
Anyway. Have A Good Day!
