Rep. Matt Gaetz Goes On Infowars To Complain About Being Called A Conspiracy Theorist

Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida appeared on conspiracy theory outlet Infowars to complain that he is being called a conspiracy theorist for pushing the narrative that a secret memo by the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee proves that the Obama administration improperly sought to spy on Donald Trump and his presidential campaign.
Gaetz appeared on “The Alex Jones Show” today to discuss Republican calls to declassify a memoauthored by Rep. Devin Nunes that some Republicans are saying proves claims that the Obama administration abused FISA laws to surveil Trump and his associate. The Republican push, which aims to cast doubt over special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into possible Russian interference in the 2016 election, has included flooding social media with the hashtag “#ReleaseTheMemo.”
“We’re called conspiracy theorists because we see this cabal right in front of us,” Gaetz said. “We’re able to aggregate these data points and show what was really going on. The reality is we’re just looking at the very messages that the people that were at the center of the Hillary Clinton investigation and the center of Robert Mueller’s investigation were saying to one another.”
“I mean, that seems to be an entirely reasonable review of the facts, to look at the communications between people who had central roles in the investigation,” he continued. “And I don’t think there’s any dispute that there was extreme bias, but not only bias in their minds—in their actions, in their planning, and the things that they were doing.”
NOTE: Someone needs to explain to me why it is that Republicans - the Law And Order Party - who formerly would defend the FBI to the death are suddenly so anti- FBI. Oh, wait. Never mind.
Looked up Congressman Gaetz's constituency and sure enough I had guessed it even before my Google search: The Florida Panhandle. That's right, aka, the Red Neck Riviera conveniently adjacent to Alabama. And just to clue you in on the legitimacy of Alex Jones of "Infowars" fame, here's a list of some of the conspiracy theories he's championed over the years:
