Winter has finally arrived and is hitting the United States with a smattering of wet and icy weather across the country.
The east coast is expected to be slapped with a cold snap that is set to thunder in on Thursday as cold air from the Great Lakes will likely lower temperatures into the 20s and low 30s.
Out west, a storm system is covering much of the Rockies with powerful rains while snow is predicted to cover much of the Cascades mountains.

In Washington State, Lynwood Police posted a photo to Twitter showing a vehicle that had completely flipped over, cautioning 'bad weather, please drive carefully.'
