President Donald Trump has recorded automated phone messages urging support for Republican Roy Moore in the Alabama Senate race.

White House spokesman Raj Shah said Saturday that Trump recorded the phone message on Moore's behalf.

'We need Roy voting for us and stopping illegal immigration and crime, rebuilding a stronger military and protecting the Second Amendment and our pro-life values,' Trump's voice is heard in the recording.

'But if Alabama elects liberal Democrat Doug Jones, all of our progress will be stopped full,' Trump continued.

'Roy Moore is the guy we need to pass our 'Make America Great Again' agenda,' Trump says in a version of the robocall played for ABC News.

Moore's campaign said the calls will go out to households Monday, a day ahead of the US Senate election.

The Alabama Senate candidate is locked in a heated contest with Democrat Doug Jones for the seat that previously belonged to Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

Despite several accusations of sexual misconduct against Moore, Trump came out fully in support of the candidate on Monday.

'Democrats refusal to give even one vote for massive Tax Cuts is why we need Republican Roy Moore to win in Alabama. We need his vote on stopping crime, illegal immigration, Border Wall, Military, Pro Life, V.A., Judges 2nd Amendment and more. No to Jones, a Pelosi/Schumer Puppet!' Trump tweeted.

Leigh Corfman, 53, was the first of nine women to publicly accuse Moore, 70, of sexual misconduct. Eight of them claim they were teenagers when the then-judge pursued them.

Corfman alleged that Moore partially undressed both of them in 1979, when she was just 14 years old. He was 32.

She claimed that Moore touched her over her underwear and put her hand on his genitals.

Since Corfoman and the other eight women came forward Moore has unleashed vicious attacks against them in an attempt to discredit their statement.

Moore has fiercely denied all allegations and even denied knowing Corfman.

But none of those accusations have swayed Trump's support for Moore. On Friday, the president even doubled down on his endorsement of Moore during a rally in Pensacola, Florida, less than 20 miles from the Alabama state border.

'This guy's screaming, "We want Roy Moore!' He's right,' Trump said as he pointed to a supporter in the crowd.

'Democrats in Congress want open borders, higher taxes and government-run health care that doesn't work,' he said.

'They don't want to vote for our tax cuts because they want tax increases. That's why we need a Republican in the House. We need a Republican in the Senate. We need more of them,' he added.

Voters will take to the polls Tuesday in the Alabama special election when Moore faces off against Democratic candidate Jones.

Several Republicans have called for Moore to drop out of the race because of the accusations against him.

House Speaker Paul Ryan said Thursday that he believes Moore 'should have dropped out'.

'I stand by what I said before,' Ryan added.

The president did similar calls for incumbent Sen Luther Strange who lost to Moore in the GOP primary as well as Republican Ed Gillespie in the Virginia gubernatorial race last month.

Gillespie lost the race to Democrat Ralph Northam, who will become Virginia's next governor.
