An animated Australian has sent the gaming community into a frenzy by smashing a record that stood for 15 years - after spending 250 hours attempting to break it.
Karl Jobst, from Brisbane, wrote himself into the history books over the weekend, finishing the 'Dam' level of iconic Nintendo 64 video game Goldeneye 007 in 52 seconds.
He beat the previous record of 53 seconds set by Bryan Bosshardt back in 2002, according to gaming experts.
'What a run. I can't even play anymore tonight after that,' Jobst said after completing the level, unaware of what he had just achieved.
But when the results were displayed, the gamer couldn't contain his excitement.

Another wrote: 'For those who are unsure about why this run is so special: To achieve 0.52 you need three guard boosts plus a perfect gate opening, and of course very precise execution.
'Not even two boosts, which in itself is rare, can guarantee a 0.52, and neither a three boosts run with a slow gate opening can.'
Another commented: 'That actually is the nuttiest thing ever,' while one said: 'That's the first time anyone's ever seen this screen.'
