Woman, 7yo boy killed by truck near Newcastle
A 30-year-old woman and a seven-year-old boy have died after a being hit by a truck on the Pacific Motorway near Newcastle in New South Wales.
Emergency services were called to the M1 at Cameron Park just after 5:30pm following reports two pedestrians had been hit near George Booth Drive.
The woman and child were found dead.
The M1 was closed southbound and diversions put in place.
Police at the scene are investigating the cause of the accident.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
