Was this the messiest Melbourne Cup ever?
- It has been a week of raucous behaviour and nefarious run-in's at Flemington's Melbourne Cup Carnival
- The extravaganza saw four events - Derby Day, Melbourne Cup, Oaks Day and Stakes Day - take centre stage
- During the week a woman was caught going to the toilet in the bushes and another had her derriere on display
- Kissing couples were also captured at Oaks Day and a woman was spotting staring into the distance at Derby
- At Emirates Stakes Day a young woman was wheeled out of the racecourse by an ambulance officer
This year's Melbourne Cup Carnival will become historic for all the wrong reasons after racegoers were snapped being strapped into wheelchairs by ambulance officers and going to the toilet in the bushes.
There were also instances of serious PDA where couples didn't care who was watching as they gave sensual reenactments of mouth-to-mouth during the middle of festivities.
Many of the week's participants took short afternoon siestas on the lawn surrounded by discarded champagne flutes and others decided on more permanent sleeping arrangements after a few too many during the week-long carnival that included Derby Day, the Melbourne Cup, Oaks Day and Stakes Day.
Authorities were forced to reprimand some punters who took it upon themselves to make up the rules but for the most part racegoers relied on their friends to help them find the exit after each day.
Just as the antics were loud and boisterous, so too were the outfits donned by revellers.
