Alec Baldwin revealed he has been 'very sexist' in the past at an awards dinner on Thursday, which he is pictured attending
Alec Baldwin has admitted to bullying and mistreating women as he called for change in Hollywood after it was rocked by multiple sex scandals.
The Saturday Night Live star revealed he has been 'very sexist' in the past as he discussed the sexual misconduct allegations against major figures including Harvey Weinstein, James Toback, Brett Ratner and Kevin Spacey.
He blamed his previous actions on being part of a generation that did not treat women as equal to men and said he wanted that attitude to change.
Baldwin made the comments while receiving an award from The Paley Center for Media on Thursday, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
He told the audience: 'I certainly have treated women in a very sexist way.
'I've bullied women. I've overlooked women. I've underestimated women. Not as a rule, [but] from time to time I've done what a lot of men do, which is … when you don't treat women the same way you treat men. You don't.
'I'm from a generation where you really don't and I'd like that to change. I really would like that to change.'

The Emmy Award winner called for reform, not only to make the entertainment industry 'right and fair' but also to increase productivity.
Baldwin also revealed he had heard claims of misconduct against leading lights of Hollywood including Weinstein and Toback, which police are investigating.
Actress Paz de la Huerta today accused Harvey Weinstein of raping her twice in 2010, joining dozens of women who have levelled assault allegations against him.

James Toback was initially accused of sexual harassment by writer Sari Kamin and 37 other women in the Los Angeles Times.
Baldwin also revealed he had heard claims of misconduct against leading lights of Hollywood including Harvey Weinstein, left,(pictured at an event in New York, 2017) and Kevin Spacey,(pictured in 2014) which police are investigating.

The director denied the claims but within days the number of alleged victims climbed past 300.
Kevin Spacey is accused of trying to rape a 14-year-old boy in 1983 and harassing a string of other men. He denies the allegations.
Brett Ratner, meanwhile, has filed a defamation lawsuit against a woman who claimed in a Facebook post that he had raped her some 12 years ago.
