In the shocking report the Grammy-nominated artist was accused of baiting aspiring female artists with career opportunities while pursuing sex with them.
When the alleged victims refused to pursue a sexual relationship, he rescinded his offers to record music and go on tour and allegedly harassed them by inundating them with text messages and posting about them on social media.
He was accused of being emotionally and verbally abusive.
In one alarming case he was accused of sexting a 14-year-old girl who was an aspiring bassist that he offered career help to.

Adams responded to the allegations on Wednesday evening on Twitter

Accuser: Phoebe Bridgers says she was 20 when Adams invited her to record together in Los Angeles and the two started a 'whirlwind romance' that ended with Adams sending her harassing text messages and threatening suicide when she didn't reply

Singer Courtney Jaye was 35 and unsigned when Adams direct messaged her on Twitter in 2013 asking to collaborate on some music. They met to write music but the session turned sexual, leaving her feeling taken advantage of, she says

His ex-fiancee Megan Butterworth also accused him of sexual manipulation saying he was 'controlling and emotionally abusive' leading her to break off their relationship in 2018. The two of them pictured above in November 2016
To the paper, he denied the accounts, calling the allegations 'extremely serious and outlandish accusations'.
After the report was published, he wrote: 'I am not a perfect man and I have made many mistakes. To anyone I have ever hurt, however unintentionally, I apologize deeply and unreservedly.'
He added 'the picture that [the Times] article paints is upsettingly inaccurate'.
'Some of its details are misrepresented; some are exaggerated; some are outright false. I would never have inappropriate interactions with someone I thought was underage. Period.' he added.
'As someone who has always tried to spread joy through my music and my life, hearing that some people believe I caused them pain saddens me greatly. I am resolved to work to be the best man I can be. And I wish everyone compassion, understanding and healing,' he said.
